WHAT IS ELECTROLOGY?
Electrology is the only FDA- approved method of permanent hair removal. Electrology is a permanent hair removal process that removes hair using electricity.
FAQ’S
DOES IT HURT?
Each client's pain tolerance varies. You may feel a momentary sensation of heat when the probe discharges the electrical current. Different treatment areas will have different levels of sensitivity. If pain is of concern, we can discuss using a topical anesthetic.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
Almost all areas can be treated using electrolysis except on the nose, inside the nostrils, and inside your ear canals.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
Electrolysis requires a series of treatments in order to ensure the hair follicle is completely detroyed during each hair growth cycle. The amount of treatments varies person-to-person.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ELECTROLYSIS AND LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
Laser hair removal (LHR) and electrolysis are both common medical procedures for cosmetic hair removal.
Laser hair removal and electrolysis are not the same — laser hair removal is faster, more affordable, and less painful than electrolysis. Laser hair removal uses a high-heat laser to remove unwanted hair, and electrolysis removes individual hairs using an electrical current.
While laser hair removal has many advantages over electrolysis, not every patient is a candidate for laser hair removal. Electrolysis is the only viable solution to remove gray, blonde or hair lacking pigment.
